RoverPass, Inc. ("RoverPass," "we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy and handling your personal information with transparency and care. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and what rights you have.
This Policy applies to all users of the RoverPass Services, including:
- Campgrounds and RV park owners/operators using RoverPass to manage reservations, payments, websites, and property operations
- Campers and guests using RoverPass to search for, book, and manage stays
- Visitors browsing any RoverPass website or interacting with us online or offline
By using the RoverPass Services, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.

1. WHAT INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT?
This Privacy Policy applies to all online and offline interactions with RoverPass, including:
- The RoverPass website
- The RoverPass marketplace and booking platform
- The Campground Owner Portal
- Integrated products such as Smart Metering, E-Signature/AutoWaivers, Ticketing, and SMS features
- Communication through email, phone, SMS, or in-person at events
It also applies to personal information collected from:
- Campers
- Campground owners and staff
- Business partners and vendors
- Website visitors
If you do not agree with any part of this Policy, please discontinue use of our Services.
2. DEFINITIONS
To make this Policy easier to understand, here are key definitions:
"Personal Information" Information that identifies or relates to an identifiable individual.
"Sensitive Personal Information" Certain categories protected under state laws, such as precise geolocation, account access credentials, or financial data.
"Campgrounds" Campground or RV park owners/operators using RoverPass to manage reservations or operations.
"Campers" Individuals using RoverPass to search, reserve, or manage campground bookings.
"Service Providers" Third parties processing information on our behalf (e.g., Stripe).
"Business Partners" OTAs, integration partners, affiliates, and promotional partners.
3. PERSONAL INFORMATION WE COLLECT
We collect and process Personal Information depending on how you use our Services.
3.1 Information Provided Voluntarily
You may provide Personal Information when you:
- Create an account
- Make or manage a reservation
- List or manage a campground property
- Communicate with RoverPass or another user
- Participate in surveys, promotions, or marketing programs
- Connect a social login account (e.g., Facebook)
This may include:
- Name, email address, phone number
- Account login credentials
- Reservation and payment details
- Property details (for campgrounds)
- Communications, support requests, or feedback
- Business tax or billing information (for campgrounds)
3.2 Information Collected Automatically
When you interact with our Services, we automatically collect:

- Usage data such as pages viewed, clicks, searches, and time spent
- Location information (approximate or precise, depending on settings)

3.4 Sensitive Personal Information
RoverPass does not intentionally collect or use Sensitive Personal Information for purposes that require offering a "Right to Limit Use" under the CPRA.
Any SPI (e.g., geolocation, payment info) is only processed as necessary to provide the services requested.
4. HOW WE USE PERSONAL INFORMATION
We use Personal Information to:
- Provide, improve, and operate the RoverPass Services
- Process reservations and payments
- Display campground availability
- Communicate with you about reservations, updates, or platform features
- Provide customer support
- Send promotional communications (which you may opt out of)
- Secure our platform and prevent fraud
- Analyze usage to improve features
- Comply with legal obligations
We do not use Personal Information for automated decision-making that produces legal effects.

D. Campers (if you are a Campground)

F. Corporate Transactions
Personal Information may be transferred in a merger, acquisition, or similar event.
We do not sell or share personal information in ways that trigger a "Do Not Sell or Share" requirement under CA law.
7. SOCIAL MEDIA LOGINS
If you choose to register or log in using a social media account:
- The social platform may provide us with profile information
- This may include your name, email, profile photo, friend lists, or other public data
- We use this only to enable login and verify identity
We do not control how social media platforms handle your data, please review their privacy policies.
8. INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFERS
RoverPass may transfer Personal Information to the United States or other countries where our providers operate. We implement appropriate safeguards where required by law.
9. DATA RETENTION
We retain Personal Information only as long as necessary to:
- Provide the Services
- Fulfill the purposes outlined in this Policy
- Comply with legal and accounting obligations
When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it.
10. INFORMATION FOR MINORS
RoverPass does not knowingly collect or market to individuals under 18. If we discover such data, we will delete it promptly.

12. DO NOT TRACK CONTROLS
Your browser may offer "Do Not Track" signals. Because no standard exists, we do not currently respond to these signals.
13. DATA SECURITY
We take reasonable steps to protect your information, including:

- Monitoring and auditing
- Secure hosting
- Employee training
- Firewalls and threat detection
While we strive to protect your data, no system is 100 percent secure.
If a breach occurs, we will notify affected users and relevant authorities as required by law.
14. PRODUCT-SPECIFIC DISCLOSURES
14.1 SMS Communications
If you opt into SMS:
- We collect your phone number and consent
- We use SMS only for operational purposes (reservation updates, account information)
- You can opt out any time by replying STOP
- We do not sell or share SMS consent data for marketing
14.2 AutoWaiver
AutoWaiver collects waiver data solely to send, manage, and store waivers on behalf of campgrounds.
- Campgrounds own all waiver content
- RoverPass acts as a data processor
- We do not use waiver data for advertising or profiling
- Waivers are stored using industry-standard security practices
15. THIRD-PARTY LINKS
Our Services may include links to external sites. We do not control and are not responsible for their privacy practices.
16. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY
We may update this Policy as laws or our Services change. We will update the "Last Updated" date and may provide additional notice for material changes.
